Kotara South FC – Presentation Day 2010

At the recent Kotara South Executive meeting it was decided that we change the format of the Presentation Day. We will be holding 2 separate Presentation Days, one day for the SSF players (U/6’s – U/9’s) and one for the competition teams (U/10‘s – O/35’s).

This initiative will involve an interclub Gala Day / Presentation Day for the SSF players and we need the support of the coaches, and managers and parents to ensure the day is a success. Volunteers are essential to ensure the day is a success as the club will not have all the usual volunteers on the day because they have commitments with competition teams playing semi finals.

Since the gear needs to be returned at the beginning of the day the kids will not be playing in their Kotara football strips. Can the coaches please ask their team to all wear a particular colour of shirt or we will supply bibs to ensure teams do not clash. This new concept will be a great way for the kids to finish the year.

The canteen will be open on both days and it may be your last chance to savour the taste of the famous Nessy bacon and egg roll.

Newcastle Jets - Junior Club Player Visit, Sat 26th June

Just passing on information sent to the club via the Newcastle Jets:

The Newcastle Jets will have 3 players visit six junior clubs in the Northern NSW region on Saturday 26th June from 10am to 11.15am.  The visit is  part of the Newcastle Jets “My Club” program where we have Newcastle Jets players visit local clubs.  We get many requests from local junior clubs for players to visit on a Saturday morning but the problem is that the players are usually training on a Saturday morning and this is somewhat difficult.  We usually do our club visits on a weekday afternoon but clubs are always telling us that Saturday mornings is a better time.  To address this, we have allocated Saturday 26th June as a club visit day.

The following six clubs will host 3 each;

  • Kahibah FC  (Kahibah Oval) : Jobe Wheelhouse, Labinot Haliti & Brody Mooy
  • Maitland Juniors (Fieldsend Oval): Ben Kennedy, Ben Kantarovski & Kaz Patafta
  • Thornton Juniors (Lawrence Ovals): Taylor Regan, Adam DaPuzzo & Ruben Zadkovich
  • Valentine Ellebana (Croudace Bay Complex): Nikolai Toper Stanley, Sean Rooney & Michael Bridges
  • Adamstown Rosebuds (Adamstown Park): Ljubo Miliocevic, Kasey Wehrman & James Virgili
  • Wallsend  (Wallsend Oval): Michael Bridges, Tarek Elrich & Ali Abbas

Children from all clubs are invited to come and meet the players.  Please let kids in your club know where the players will be and ask the kids to bring whatever they want signed on the day. We will supply posters and stickers to all children who attend.  We will also handout information about our memberships packages for the 2010-11 season.

Please support this initiative as its success will determine whether we do again at a later date at six other clubs.
